Sounds Fun is a FREE festival of musical enquiry and exploration for Kiwi kids of all ages, but with a strong focus on kids aged 4 – 9 years.

This year it is an invite only event, starting with the NZ Children’s Music Awards.  We then open the doors for a number of schools, from across Auckland, to join us for a series of hands-on interactive musical activities.

The APO’s team of Show and Tell musicians join us for the first time, this year. This talented team give tamariki a chance to experience classical instruments being played “up close and personal”.

Rockshop/KBB Music’s education team Tanya, Garin will provide hands on opportunities for students to try to a variety of wind instruments, themselves!  

Melodics had mastered learning from home, musically, long before it became the trend of 2020. At Sounds Fun they’ll give tamariki a chance to experience their fun and fabulous online music tutoring app.

Ableton NZ representative and popular DJ, Barnaby Davies joins us for the first time, this year. Barnaby will introduce our young participants to the wonderland of musical magic that is Ableton.

We are incredibly grateful for the support and encouragement of the whanau at Spark Arena who see this event as a wonderful way to introduce tamariki to the many different aspects of music making and performance. 

This is step one on our musical journey – we look forward to growing the event and it’s reach in 2022.
